Speed-to-lead
The principle, and the metric, of how quickly a new enquiry receives its first contact.
Speed-to-lead is the principle of reaching a new enquiry, whether a form, call or message, as quickly as possible. A prospect's interest is highest at the moment they enquire and fades over time.
As a metric, it is the time between an enquiry arriving and the first meaningful contact. Instant alerts, an automatic first message and outbound calling are typically combined to shorten it.
Why it matters for agencies
Someone filling in a Meta lead form may complete several agencies' forms within minutes. The first agency to call usually starts the conversation, and often gets the appointment.
Example
Seconds after a form arrives from a new-development ad, the voice agent calls back, introduces itself as the agency's assistant, asks whether the buyer is looking to live in or invest, and books a sales-suite visit.
