İYS (Message Management System)

Turkey's national register of consents and opt-outs for commercial calls, SMS and email.

İYS is the national system in which businesses that send marketing calls, SMS and email in Turkey record recipients' consent. Before sending commercial electronic messages to individuals, consent must be recorded in İYS.

Recipients can view their consents in İYS and opt out at any time. Rules can differ by recipient type and channel; check current regulations and take legal advice for specifics.

Why it matters for agencies

Outbound calling campaigns and reactivation in Turkey require İYS consent. Calling people without it for marketing creates legal risk.

Example

An agency compares its old contact list with its İYS records. Only contacts with recorded consent for calls are added to the outbound campaign; the rest are set aside.
